The Charlotte Street foundation will open the door to the studios of 21 visual artists, 5 writers, and 11 performing artists and ensembles on Friday night from 6-10pm. Studios are located in the pARTnership Place (906 Grand, 13th Floor) and the Town Pavilion (1100 Walnut, 6th Floor). Additionally, there will be a series of performances, all located at Town Pavilion (1100 Walnut, 6th Floor) running from 6-10 pm.

Mexican, American is an exhibition and book release showcasing the work of Patricia Bordallo Dibildox and Florentino Diaz. The artists collaborated on highlighting key cultural movements and figures specific to their own experiences through photographic works. The artists see this series as a celebration of Mexican culture, Mexican-American culture, Chicanx culture and everything in between. Bordallo Dibildox and Diaz are 2015 BFA candidates at the Kansas City Art Institute.

See the finished product of Studio Resident work by visiting “1 Infinite Loop.” This exhibition was curated by Jeff Eaton as part of the Residency’s Visiting Curator Series–a chance for Resident Artists to exhibit their work in a professionally curated exhibition at Charlotte Street’s Paragraph Gallery and Project Space.

 

Your UFO (a micro-musical) by Jametatone

Jametatone will perform a musical interpretation of his pamphlet “Your UFO” originally released in 2008. For this special performance at PLUG projects, Miller will perform the 8-step program as a 8-movement micro-musical. In addition, a special edition of “Your UFO” pamphlet will be available to the first 22 people in attendance. The performance will start promptly at 7:30 pm and seating is limited.
