Our partner organization PLUG Projects is hosting a lecture with artist Gordon Hall who will discuss their sculptures, performances, writing, and experimental lectures. This evening they will present a non-chronological slide lecture divided into 14 short thematic sections: PLATFORMS, OBJECTS MAKE BODIES, IS THIS FOR A PERFORMANCE?, EXTREMELY PRECISE OBJECTS OF AMBIGUOUS USE, FORMATE-ING, WITNESS OR AUDIENCE, OBJECT LESSONS, SHADOWS, SURFACES, PALINDROMES, WORK NOT WORK, WHAT CAN A BODY DO, THINGS THAT ARE THE SAME CAN BE DIFFERENT, and CONFUSION.

The work of Dallas-based artist Kristen Cochran is about endings. With video, sound, sculpture and imagery relating to retirement parties, a stage is set for performative retirement parties that begin at 6, 7, and 8 pm. Cochran invites participants to arrive ready to retire and open themselves up to the possibility of what’s next

This free listening roundtable will be led by Pat Alexander, Nedra Bonds, and Jose Faus and moderated by Lynnette Miranda discussing narratives and histories embedded in music, poetry, and visual art. These narratives of focus will revolve around stories of resilience and survival.
